Custom Sign

1. Start by filling out the Custom Sign Inquiry Form to begin the process.

2. I’ll be in touch to discuss exactly what you are hoping for with your sign.

3. Pay for the non-refundable $50 Design Fee to begin the design process and save your spot on my cut list. This fee will also be applied toward your final payment.

4. I’ll send you an initial design, which you can customize and alter as many times as you need to until it is perfect. I will also send you an estimate on when cutting will begin.

5. After you approve the final design, your sign will be cut based on the timeframe discussed.

6. Once the sign is complete, I will reach out to discuss shipping costs. (See that part of the FAQs below.)

   Notes: Turnaround time is generally 4-8 weeks (again, depending on the complexity of your sign). I will provide process updates during this time. I also try to post updates to my Instagram Story, so feel free to follow for behind the scenes footage.

Modified Sign

1. Begin by purchasing one of the base designs found here. This secures your spot in my cut list.

2. I will be in touch to discuss your modifications, including fonts, text, colors, etc. I’ll also provide an estimated timeline.

3. I’ll provide a proof image for you to approve.

4. Once approved, I’ll begin work according to the estimated timeline.

5. When the sign is complete, I’ll reach out to collect shipping costs (see shipping FAQs below).

Custom Signs

The best way to order is to fill out the Custom Order Inquiry form at the bottom of the Custom Signs page. This will give me most of the information I need to get started on a design for you.

Modified Designs

The other option is to purchase one of the Existing Designs and I will reach out to get information from you on colors, fonts, and the name you would like on it.

Custom Sign

It varies depending on the design, including how elaborate and detailed you want it. I have made signs ranging from $250-$1,250, with the average sign costing around $550. This is why I ask for a budget when filling out the Custom Sign Inquiry Form. I may have suggestions on how to alter the sign so that we can stay within your budget, so please reach out.

Modified Sign

If you select one of the base designs (found here) and only change the name and colors, then the price will remain as marked. If you would like to add any additional elements to the sign, then this will raise the price. We can discuss modifications that will allow you to remain on budget. Note that shipping is not included in these figures, see the shipping FAQs below.

The non-refundable Design Fee of $50 is so I can start designing your uniquely custom sign. This process can take some time to make sure I have all the details you wish to have on your sign. I will begin the design process and send you the example of your sign. You can customize and alter this design as many times as you need to until it is perfect. The design fee also secures your spot on my cut-list and I will give you an estimate on when cutting will begin. Lastly, the design fee will go toward your final payment.

Design fees are only applied toward custom signs. If you buy one of the modified signs (found here), you do not need to pay a design fee.

Shipping costs are not included. For both custom signs and existing signs, I have to build and package the sign to get the exact weight and shipping amount. You will then be invoiced for the shipping cost and I will ship you your sign as soon as payment is received. Costs usually range from $20 - $50 depending on the size of the piece, whether you want insurance, and how fast you want it shipped.

Design Bean Creations is not liable for any damage that happens during shipping. I package my signs carefully to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. If damage occurs during shipping, please work with the carrier. For this reason, I do encourage you to consider insuring the package for the sign’s full value, please let me know if you want this option included in your shipping quote. You can also reach out to me for rework, which may include a fee depending on the level of damage.
